LOVE SONG SONNET

Sunshiny days will cause my spirits rise

if cloud it takes to bring the rainbows too

while roses red reflected in your eyes

will be the songs I've written just for you.

When Monday comes reality sets in

it's back to work and leaving rest behind

but loving you has set me right again

and it's a fact that I have peace of mind.

One hopes and prays for better things to be

and dreams come true on either side of dawn

one touch from you and it's a guarantee

that heaven's here and I will carry on.

The world will know the beauty that you bring

the proof that's found in every song I sing.

PROPHET TEARS

Were we attuned to prophet tears

for what they are when one appears,

a mantle worn like none before

because, by God, there's always more

for us to learn, the truth revealed,

in increments, therefore to field

such deep design, as field the few,

no doubt we'd weep like prophets, too!

CREDO

Speak in simple terms

Seek to be understood.

Strive for clarity.

And be patient.

Keep an open mind.

And show empathy.

Be kind.

The world needs gentleness.

Touch it with loving hands.

Remember: where you go,

others have surely gone,

as others will surely follow.

Cry, if you must, but seek,

after, the laughter.

When you balance things,

you will always find more good

than bad, more laughter

than tears, more joy

than sorrow.

This is your world,

and the world is also

what you make it.

It is all quite simple, really -

as simple as the terms you use.

Go, then, and speak softly.
