SCOTT THOMAS OUTLAR
FROM DEPTHS UNFATHOMED
What dreams are these?
they ask?
But what visions are those?
I say?
Can you speak them in your sleep
& usher forth
a new reality?
Or travel back
after the fact
to make sure they stand
a restructured
test of time?
The lines (minds) all skewed
between left (intuition)
& (instinct) right
hemispheres
(hang in the balance)
What could have been (cancer)
or might still be
(a remedy)
salvation
if only the key
is turned
(thrice)
quite precisely
in locks hidden from sight
but glimpsed (briefly)
between the folds
of waking life & phantom sheets
in a bed full of shamans
exposed
to the touch
that brings shivers
& shakes
of synchronicity
come the dawn
FINE LINE BETWEEN SMUG &
SMIRKING
A little lalala (love) in your
(happy hour) hahaha
(heavy doses)
(might) make ya wanna
laugh the day
away
(but never [dare] waste it/
while apart the hours
split {spit} & fumble tumble
down)
Our time is precious
&
eat, drink, and be merry
was just a (first hint/low buzz)
primer/coating/
coaxing soft cajoles to surface
(primal roars
are best served
w/humor
[and a hummer
don’t hurt either]
so save {stuff/fluff}
your tragedies
cause we don’t need ‘em
to kill our {slaughtered} smiles
moo mo[o/re/aning])
Low down dirty
only offers
a few cheap thrills
before that (grinding metal)
nihilistic whining (on the water)
begins to wear thin (thongs)
on bored [& burdened] nerves
(sold along the river)
KEEPING IT SIMPLE IN THEORY
Drip away
the drama
and leave me be
to bask
in peace (just for a while)
It’s not perfection
which we seek
but only
the pursuit
thereof (in times of worry)
Constant, continual, progressive
evolution
along the path
of adaptation
Drop the pretense
the prologue
has time-lapsed
toward the future (two steps and a leap)
Crystalline in its
patterns (merging)
of comfort
(swirling)
as mandalas
hum congruent wisdom
I keep chasing (coloring the horizon)
like a tail
of Ouroboros
or
a trail
of breadcrumb logic
promising quantum new frontiers
