MARY BONE

MARY BONE

CRACKED EGGSHELLS

thrown out the back door
of my kitchen.
potted soil, inside a wire fence
all become compost
for cherry tomatoes and onions.
Green curls pop up, getting ready
to garnish plates that warm
on the stove.

POETRY

A poem can set sail
Arrive at a destination
Inhibit and inhabit
Poetry can form its own
Thoughts and live on
In minds as they are recited.

DUTIFUL WIFE

A lady sat at home-
That dutiful wife-
Doing nothing but her duty,
Looking into mirrors
And her eyes told her
Of her beauty.

MARY BONE

MARY BONE has written two books of poetry. She has recently been published at Our Poetry Archive, Literary Yard, Whispers in the Wind Blogspot and Duane’s Poetry Blogspot.
