GEORGIANA-LAURA
GHEORGHE
November
The month after
October,
The last month in
which Fall
Paints nature
And covers the
earth with her blanket.
Some are
nostalgic,
Others are
inspired,
Everyone is
playing in the pile of leaves
Letting loose
their inner child
To tread on air.
Beautiful
memories,
Sad memories,
We’re still
keeping our mind
On the autumnal
landscapes.
A cold breeze,
A pinch of
cinnamon scent,
The whiteness
of the sky,
Some ice
crystals,
I can feel that
winter’s coming.
The Last Days
Of Autumn
As we stroll
along the rocky path,
Autumn’s
blanket is fully complete
As the trees
are bare
Ready to enter
into a deep sleep.
A mixture of
thoughts
Come across our
minds
And a mixture
of feelings
Make our hearts
dizzy.
The sun sparkles
on the silent earth
Giving us a ray
of hope during daytime.
Colorful
patches and spots shine into the night
Reminding us of
our colorful life.
Saint Andrew
announces the last day of the Autumn Queen,
But encourages
us to not lose our self-esteem.
Wonderful
memories are flooding our mind
Making us
remember of the good things
About the Snow
Queen’s reign.
Saint Andrew
Protector of
sailors and fishermen,
The most
trustworthy of the Apostles
And “the first
called”,
Hear our prayer
Which we offer
you
Today, on this
day of worship.
Defend us from
the devil’s attacks,
Give us
strength to resist temptations of any kind,
Banish all
suffering and illnesses,
Bring peace and
harmony
On these fair
lands.
Shield us from
Sodom and Gomorrah
And teach us
about true love
Which
enlightens our souls and gives us immortality.
In the year of
the Centenary,
Bless us, the
heirs of the bold Dacians
To pass on the
traditions, customs and history of our country
To the next
generations,
To be as brave
as our ancestors who perish during the bloody battles,
To overcome
life’s obstacles like the heroes of the past did
And protect the
Garden of Virgin Mary from fire and tar.
Saint Andrew,
Patron Saint of Romania and the Apostle of the Wolves
With faith and hope
We dedicate
these verses to you.
