Souls

Listen for the pervasive silence. Listen…

You’ll hear the sounds of souls, invisible.

They are like children, innocent.

They only tell the truth and cannot lie.

“We came into this life from other lives.

We live on earth in own measured beat.

Sometimes we stomp the sun with our feet.

Sometimes reproach our God –

What have you done?

You have made flowers better than man.

Why is the world without tenderness?...

Sometimes we ask about everything

and trustingly we speak with Him:

I want to be a breeze - to run along the trees.

How to become a memories?

Where does the time go? In gray hair?

Where do the shadows? How do they appear?

You know, God, some people have shutters

in their hearts.

Old people are tired kids.

Sometimes we ask about very secret things –

My God, do I really exist?”…

…I listen to the movement of their thoughts and signs.

One of these fine days my soul will add a sound

to this inaudible choir ...

Freedom Of Choice

We see the Truth

in different ways –

as it is given

by the Truth itself

to each of us,

and it depends on our eyes.

For everyone

these are the same rays,

descending from above.

Someone is given

to feel it

as a sentence of immortal Love.

And someone –

as a liberation

from evil.

We see the Truth

and hear a voice

of each of our cells –

‘You have to make a choice!’

We are subjected to

so a fearful burden

as freedom of choice…

Salvation Of The Soul

Epigraph

“They save the spirit by raping the flesh ..." –

Sergey Sutulov-Katerinich

Loneliness… How heavy is your cave

to become holiness.

But over time, oozing through the cracks

of the ascetic font,

the sin of mortal flesh becomes

the righteous

cover of a rebellious soul -

the saving omophor ...

But mundane life is -

like barefoot on a knife blade

with a thorn cross on a thin neck.

It’s harder to be righteous here.

And the suffering man prays -

“I love my worldly life ...

And I’ll take off my shoes –

barefoot

right now

with eyes wide shut,

with a heart closed to pain

I will get lost

on the steel blade ...”

NATALIA GOVSHA has been writing poems and prose all of her life and has been drawing for many years. She studies philosophy, alchemy and synthesis of religions. This knowledge is reflected in her poems, stories and pictures. Her first book of poems “Woman’s Diary” was published in 2015. “Woman's Diary”, a collection of poetry, shares a reflection of women who have surrounded her, with their own life and their own love, joy, sorrow, and suffering. From passion to splashes of love, to mistakes, break ups, revival and forgiveness, forgiveness and hope. “Woman's Diary” explores the lives of women and their souls-tender and mysterious. Natalia’s second book of poems "IF YOU LOOK AT THE SKY" was published in 2018. This book about a person who wants to understand a single universal Mind that lives both in human beings and in the universe, initially and unconditionally; and who feels the vibration of true love - as the eternal primordial state of the world. This book is an attempt to turn symbols, allusions, allegories into something alive and sensually perceived, having flesh and blood, filled with personal being. Natalia Govsha lives in Mississauga City, a province of Ontario, Canada, with her family.
