closed smell of
carefree days
in a jar full of
candy
on a black and
white photograph
nailed like a
butterfly
from that
holiday at grandma's
still alive
still lingers in
the memory
like a sandy
cake
only whether the
one that grandma baked
or the one made
from sea sand
on a cosmically
long beach table
children's
dreams roll over
dreams like
waves
captured by the
hand of a time photographer
that day by the
sea
with mum and
dad
Red Currants
will never grow
back
the same
afternoon
of baby green
caught in a jar
the recklessness
of a butterfly
careless but
romantic
the red of
currants
soaking into a
light dress
starched with
August
the sun hiding
on the veranda
between the beads
of grandma's fingers
baking berries
in grandpa's pot
and me so
innocently painted with berries
before the first
sin
in the modern
kitchen
behind the
windowsill of years
in the oven with
the mould of ripe love
bittersweet
but not like
redcurrants
this summer
Childhood
I comb through
the lashes of the forest
ferns
seductively
float like the
ridges
of the nearby
hills
the wind
caressingly moves
by the hand of
God himself
I spread the
lashes of the forest
I touch the
undergrowth that I love
like the touch
of a mother's hand
leaning over the
beauty of life
now the forest
leans over me
combing through
my soul
between the
fingers of the trees
I become
transparent like an echo
cast by the
flutter of dragonflies over
ribbon of the
stream entwined
in the knots of
berries
I become as
bright as the cobweb of the sun
on the wall of
the family home
beads from
grandma's rosary
settle on ripe
grapes

IZABELA MONIKA BILL: is a Wroclaw poet,
prose writer, actress, author of collages, artistic photos, she sketches with a
pencil, paints with oil and watercolor, the creator cherishes the erotic of
automotive. She has published 9 volumes of poetry: " The Sexapil of the soul"
2011, "The Chameleons" 2012, “The Art of Eating Apples" 2013,
" The Poetry Travels" 2014, "Erotic automotive” 2015, “The
Space” 2017, “The Clippings” 2018. "I track traces of dreams" 2019,
" The Read to the moon" 2021. As an actress, she played in the
series: "Why Me", "Hard Cases", "Detectives in
Action", "112 to the Rescue", "The Day That Changed My
Life" 70A. She is a laureate of the photo competition "Glass trails
of Wroclaw". She is the Master of the Love Pen 2018 in Salon of Three
Muses. In 2015 she has been published in the anthology "Polish Poets of
the 21st Century". In 2021 she received the "Meritorious for Polish
Culture" award.
