GEORGIANA-LAURA
GHEORGHE
The Sea
It shows
up in front of us
So
peaceful
So
crystalline.
It
becomes the swans’ dance floor,
The
seagulls’ airstrip,
Maybe
even a skating rink?
It gently
rocks the travelers
The
white-crested waves crash against the sandy shore.
It leaves
us maybe an oyster or an abandoned shell
As
souvenirs.
It
caresses our face with a breeze
To feel
its presence.
The
sea... so peaceful,
So
crystalline
Like a
mirror that reflects the sun rays during beautiful days
And the
moonlight of the starry sky.
The Reflection
Up there
on the clear sky
Not at
all unkindly,
A small
white ball
Is flying
peacefully.
For hours
he’s flapping his swan wings
In search
of his soul mate.
Overtaken
by tiredness
He looked
for a place to rest.
And what
better place to relax
Than on
the House of God?
Walking
along on the stone brim
He
thought he saw someone.
Could it
be his soul mate?
He slowly
approaches
The
winged beauty,
Who
caught his heart
From the
first time he laid eyes on her.
He cooed
for hours
And she
still didn’t give an answer.
He
stretched his wing to touch her,
But how
sad he was when
He felt
stone instead of feathers.
He shed
large tears
When he
found out that she was just a work of art.
Just a
mere reflection.
Caressed
by hope
And
encouraged by the lion,
He
admired his reflection.
Then
after bidding farewell,
He spread
his wings
And took
flight.
The Musical Rose
In an
enchanted glade within a forest
A growing
crowd gathers every evening
To hear
the songs of the musical rose.
Her
spikes prevents some crazed fans from giving her a bear hug,
No
offense, Mr. Bear!
“I’m
taking it,” he grunted,
Then
moved his large body into the rhythm of the joyful song.
Green is
the skin of the little soprano,
She wears
a seductive red, playful pink, snow white,
Orange,
blue, sunny yellow or black as tar dress
Depending
on the type of song she sings.
The
songbirds serve as the chorus,
Only
those brave enough dares to join in.
But the
prestigious diva does show respect
For the
greatest singers of all time, the angels.
