MICHELA ZANARELLA

MICHELA ZANARELLA

Redeem A Memory

reproduce the noise of the summer
we neglected the watch and thought only of loving each other
the consciousness of time does not exist
we thought the sea would never end
in our looks
something has been lost with the speed of the years
something else has the scent of a distant sky
that protrudes in a low voice from memory.

In Some Dream

I remember the shadow of time
that speaks to me of a sun that I know
and I reply that the sun is a returning light
it grew in my hips
and the spark remained intact
to remember the ribs of the trees.
Placed among the roots of the earth
it is a clear flash in the open air
echo of the moon that sprouts eternally in the universe.

Memory Is Naked

and look in the mirror
it no longer has the same body as it once did
it creaks like doors aged by woodworms
trembles in front of a sky background
seen for the umpteenth time - I think mint
when he nods before yesterday's sunrise.
Yet there is something that remains intact
in dumb sleepiness of memories
the eyes that counted the seasons in a circle
they are safe in the ghost of a returning day
they pretend that summer is never over.
