On Valentine's Day

I took down your pictures from the wall one by one. . .

Your dusty guitar with missing strings

were waiting for being caressed.

The sad slippers

in conflict with each other

at the head of our mattress.

Now the curtains the moonlight has wrapped

are offended,

and have not shown their faces to the day yet.

Our dreams in the overturned glasses.

Our laughs have remained hidden

in a dusty broken mirror,

and on the torn calendar pages. . .

You are gone,

and I wanted to lay the night over my eyes.

The leady rains have lined up on my eyelashes.

Loneliness is on the alert.

The one that is shot was the last leaf

of the season in my heart

falling on the ground,

floating and turning in the air.

In what season and at what time interval of loving had my feelings remained? And why had loves always been set to separation? As I have forgotten love, again you have got my eyes I closed tight and my heart I locked half-open in fear

Almond Tree

I was green once too

my flowers would bloome white-pink

Swings would have been built on my branches

cheerful, happy kids would be swinging

It would be a day, tired sweaty people would be resting in my shadow

kids play games

they would tell fairy tales like real

doves would nest.

I'm old now too

years shelled on my body.

my branches, my leaves dried up,

my flowers white, pink died

I was excluded like old people ...

now those swings

in other trees.

As the kids shake joyfully happy

by pointing me with their finger,

they say 'look at this ugly tree! '

children can't think that

living being is born, grows

life passes rapidly.

This is the rule of life

those born will grow,

those born will grow,

When the time comes

will die like this old almond tree.
