SOFIA SKLEIDA
Holy
Lamentation- Pieta
The heavy and
embarrassed look imprisons the sadness of the moment
The mourning of
life
The Holy
Virginity captivates and invites
The inanimate
Divine Body completely surrendered
looks eternally
youthful
perpetually
moving
The pain of the
soul overflows
and the Heavenly
Kingdom receives
the only truth
crowning with
glory our passions and fears…
Dual Existence
Lord of
exhortations
Of hope
Of persuasions
Of wishes
Lord of the
Powers
Of universal
worldviews
As human nature
He taught our
lives emotionally
Light up our
inaccessible path
changed our
short-sighted look
As a Godman
Scatter our
malicious thoughts,
The mental
humiliation
of our perishable
texture
Be our fair judge
Bless us with
Your great compassion…
Nuda Veritas*
You slept
The wave caressed
you and you got lost
At a time when
nature voluptuously conducted its classical symphony orchestra
You strayed
Went up
Crowned with
daffodils
Maenades **
accompany you with libations and Dionysian ode
You desired other
heavens
You traveled
When time stopped
counting and the minute hands were praised the eternal silence
You nested in the
arms of the cosmic deity
And now your
spirit rejoices happily in the warmth of the heavenly priesthood ...
In memory of all
those who left us too soon…
* The naked truth- Horatius, Carmina
** In Greek mythology Maenads were
nymphs, followers of the Greek God of wine, Dionysus
