Empowered
I need to fill
up that hole
that keeps
squeezing
and rinsing me
till I'm bone
dry
Bereft of
feelings
Purposeless move
around
Wanting in love
With the lifting
of the yoke
freed again
I walk on known
trails
surrounded by
earthy smells
I had never
smelt before
Empowered, I
connect
with my soul

Jaundiced View
The old man
wonders
what awaits his
future
Present is
painful
full of regrets
A change perhaps
would
make life better
even when it's
near to over
He needn’t
change
He would make a
change
prying open the
eyes
reversing
squint-eyed opinions
held against the
so-called
labelled
‘pagans’
The need of the
hour
was to make it
clear
unlike others
‘pagans’
embraced, respected
recognizing good
in every individual
believers in
peace, harmony
and co-existence
The old man had
to spread this message
“We pagans
follow the path of doing
good karma. That is our dharma.
Call it
whatever”

A Senior Moment
The train
arrives on the platform
passengers make
a beeline
for the
reservation chart
stuck on doors
closed
Two identical
names
allotted
adjacent seats
which one
belongs to whom
a riddle indeed
Anthony #1
occupies
window seat
Anthony #2
claims
it as his
An argument
ensues
Ticket checker
arrives on the scene
Says could be a
computer glitch
Offers Anthony
#2
A vacant window
seat
Train rolls out
of the station
The case is put
to rest
The two become
friends
