LILLA LATUS
The Only One
Question
how to live
not to be
a rope
in the hangman’s
hand
a piece of paper
with death
sentence
or farewell letter
this direction
taken by the wind
spreading fire
the question
to the answer
which is either
the only one
or stupid
freedom not
bigger
than the crumb
which may make
you
gasp or choke
how to live
not only to be
Blurred Photograph
The girl
committed suicide
swallowing slowly
less and less
colourful pills
staring at the
dead end
of the street ahead
stroking her
Persian cat with one hand
and clutching
the brazenly
colourful photograph
in the other one
Nobody cares
that the pills in
fact were
rat poison
the cat was a
teddy bear
and the street
one of the
longest ways
ever
And there was no photograph
My Right Hand
knows
how to wipe away
a tear
from a kid’s face
good at handful
taking
clenches
the small fist
hearing white
hoof of anger
sometimes
salty
as if somebody
sprinkled
tears on it
can prevent
eyes
from being
cried out
has hollow
gestures
down pat
right
missing hand
