MEHAK VARUN

MEHAK VARUN

I Remember

I remember

the sky in its unblemished shape

enchanting the rhythm of agape

holding the world in its caress

making the lament to escape.

I remember

the trees in their embracing shade

the leaves so green hoping allayed

leaving the misery of the world

passing emotions like a cascade.

I remember

the rain pouring out their heart

through fiery street and narrow cart

clinging to the warmth of the soul

the days are dark still faith impart.

I remember

the moon being so beautiful alone

over the empty peaks and silent atop

spreading the light of its ecstasy

creating a night of love and hope

I remember

A Silent Cry

The 'why' of crying

The tearing eyes

The quivering lips

The blinking lashes

The escaping heart

All begins with a silent cry.

Why is there silence,

of sadness and awkwardness?

The frustration

The over-whelmed defenses

The manipulation

The fake weaknesses

The drenched emotions

All begins with a silent cry.

Why is there silence,

of anxiety and depression?

The suppressed feelings

The jeopardizing health

The weeping organs

The hollowing darkness

The dying face

All begins with a silent cry.

Why is there silence,

of fear and death?

Why is there silence?

She Is Not Meant To Be

she is not meant to be

confined in the cage, burying

all her spirits, latching her enrage

her mind is the wing, that soars

high, chasing the real world

keeping her in sight

she will grow, her wings will

flutter, the sky will be hers

she is meant to fly
